  1. There was an old Church in Mogeely which was wrecked by Cromwell and his soldiers on their way from Youghal to Cork. The road which was leading to the Church was blocked and a house built there. The house is still to be seen. The Church was in the middle of the graveyard. This grave yard is in use to this day. It is one of the most Catholic graveyards in East Cork because protestants are not buried there. The graveyard belongs to the
