The grant has come and gone and still it will not be forgotten And Pat and Jim will come again the stones to break and rattle At the call of the drum the men will come And there they'll take their stand In the Carrageen which once had been a hill so high and grand But now instead a water bed which never cease to flow When the work is out, the men will shout For the dole again we'll go The farmers too, they'd never do Till they got the job in Blain
