(continued from previous page)In Glin it was the other night.
A dreadful fight took place.
Between the Dillanes and Thompsons.
Which proved a great disgrace.
I'm sad to say in war times.
Those boys they can not agree.
When left in peace and happiness
Enjoying their liberty.
Now the leaders of this fighting band.
Were the brave Stacks of Kinnard.
Who went to the aid of their cousin.
Who belonged to the Irish guards.
And with the aid of brother Denny.
Those Lane boys did subdue.
And they suffered a defeat.
From those Dillanes.
Those tailors of renown.
Now those Dillanes are of a decent race.
Of decent families.
They spread all over the country side.
And not unknown to me.
From Newtown Sandes to the hills of Blain.
And not forgetting sweet Athea.- Collector
