A cure for “warts”, to wash them in water found on a stone without looking for it.
“Chilblains” are cured by rubbing them over with a red onion.
Cure for “sore throat” is to warm fine sand, put it into a stocking and put the stocking to the throat.
A cure for a “tooth ace” is to go into a garden where potatoes grow get a potato pecked by a crow put it into your pocket, never let it fall out and you’ll never get a toothache again.
A cure for “styes” rub a gold ring nine mornings on them.
“Nay-cups” (hiccoughs) are cured by giving a drink to a person without asking for it or by accusing of some fault suddenly which they have not committed.
Bleeding is cured by slacínlas chewed between the teeth and applied on the cut.
A knot is made over calves who begin to wriggle with pain and is supposed to undo the knot in the inside
