some other girl went to take some turnips from Morgan's field. Old Morgan was then dead but Johnny Morgan used to sow the turnips and sell them. Kit Bourke was just pulling the turnips when she saw old Captain Morgan coming across the field riding his big grey horse – he used always be riding that big grey horse and by some token, it was one of those "glencarry" caps he used always be wearing. I tell you that Kit and the other girls weren't long clearing across the fields and they didn't wait for the turnips either.
