He ran a champion from Limerick to Ardagh and won a gold watch.John Eagan of Rathreigh was a 100 to 120 yards runner and was able to hold his own with anyone.Maurice Woulfe, Dunganville, was a tug-o-war man against the champions of the world, and won many prizes of silver and gold medals and cups. His fame was known all over the world. He was one of the best men in Ireland.Charles Magner, Cahermoyle
