- Long ago, there was a Hedge School built in a double ditch between the farms of Daniel Begley and John Wall of Clouncagh. It was an old thatched cabin. A man by the name of John Croagh taught there. He had a son by the name of John also. When the son grew up he went to America and was known to be the smartest man at that time.(continues on next page)
