    Another cure for warts was to seek on a bridge a stone with a hollow containing water & wash the warts in this water.
    Three meals of nettles eaten before the 1st of May kept people free from diseases or ailments for the rest of the year. The juice of sorrel leaf cured sore mouth. The juice of boiled dock leaves rubbed to boils cured them.
    Water in which potatoes were boiled kept for three days then re-boiled, cured swollen legs when bathed in it.
