  1. About thirty years ago there lived a man in Tournafulla and he went to the fair at Rathkeale with a cow. On his way home he went a stray and he went into a house and asked for lodgings and she gave him leave to stay. After a while six ladies came down the hall and he saw six cups on the table and seven caps on the wall.
The ladies sat down to the table and they ate. At last the old woman asked him would he eat and he said he would and they gave him him some. When he had finished his meal, the old woman showed him his bedroom. He went to bed and the woman gave him a drink to put him to sleep. He was so drunk that he spilled his drink inside his shuil.
