- In the land where my Grandmother lived before she got married was a school just at the corner of a field. The man who owned it was Mr. Margann. The shelfs were made of slates. They used to teach Sums and all Irish. The children had to bring six pence every day to the teacher to teach them. It is said that the girls used to hide there from the white boys. It is now called Margann's cabin.
