- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)The person whose side is brought to this state loses the game.
The black men shall be placed upon the supposed first twelve squares and the white upon the last twelve squares. Each player plays alternately black and white men. Lots are cast for the colour at the commencement of the game. The person with the black men moves first. At the end of five minutes "Time" is called and if the move is not completed on the expiry of another minute the game is lots. When a person reaches any of the squares on the opposite extreme line of the board his piece is crowned as "King". It is crowned by the opponent and ran afterwards be moved backward or forward as the limits permit. When neither of the players can force a win it is said to be a draw. The person with the most Kings is the winner.- Bailitheoir
