    The boy was too frightened and didn't take up the spade. Three times the dead man called on him to stay & dig on, and he would save him. He was too terrified, and ran away. When he didn't return after the third call, he thought somebody gave him a kick on the back. Ever after that he was quite lame.
    Had he had the courage to remain he would in all probability have got "The Hidden Treasure"
