- There is a holy well in Ballinakill and it is called Saint Kerins well. It is beside the graveyard. There are rounds paid to that well on the 9th of September. There is a cure in that well for sore eyes. In going round the well the rosary is said once. After paying nine rounds you have to wash your eyes in the water. Before paying rounds at the well you should pay nine rounds at the graveyard nearby and for each round you should say a decade of the rosary.
