  1. Killing Caterpillars
    In this locality there are many ways of killing caterpillars.
    Some people cut a head of cabbage and hang it up in the chimney. Then all the caterpillars die outside in the garden.
    Another plan is to cut a lot of limbs off an elder tree and scatter them through the cabbage and the caterpillars also die.
