- In Hill of Knocklong in Co Limerick is supposed to be another moat in which treasure was hidden, but upon digging some men found the crock but it was filled with moss, and the story goes that a priest at the time said that if they had sprinkled holy water on the moss, the fairies, who had changed the gold into moss, would have to clear and let the gold behind.
