  1. Fairy Forts
There are many fairy forts in the school district.
The people around here call the fairy forts lisses.
There are five lisses in the town-land of Banteen, three in Barna, three in Ballinamuddy [?], one in Knockanbrack, two in Kirlscandlan, and one in Boolanlisheen.
All those lisses can be seen from each other.
The most of these lisses are round with big ditches and trees all round them.
There is no hole i any liss in Banteen.
The people here say that it was the Danes built the lisses.
The fairy are supposed to be living in the lisses now.
