home from the fair lost his life within a field of his own home. He was found standing by the ditch in his own field the following morning.
There was a large amount of timber uprooted in the Galtee castle woods. The people on the hillside lost hundreds of sheep and cattle. Some sheep were swept with the floods that come down the Galtee mountains.
This is the worst storm I have ever heard of. In parts of the Galtee mountains the snow lasted for weeks.
