  1. There was some Society there at time like the Mason's and they had a black book. If the Book was ever opened some terrible disaster happened.
    There was a Protestant Policeman who was a member of the Society, Something was done on him, something stolen or other and he was very vexed.
    He opened the Black-book and a terrible wind rose that swept all before it. Houses and trees and hay and rocks were blown about.
    The new houses were all swept away but most of the old houses withstood the storm
