    The Master blessed himself and striking Dwyer with the bottle cried out:-

    In the same yard as O' Donovan's Hedge School was another taught by a man called . The Masters suffered from "Professional Jealousy" and did not agree and the scholars vied with each other and "croosted" each other every evening and during dinner hour.
    O' Donovan came from Labbamologga, Kildorney, Co. Cork. Those two Hedge Schools were beside the present National Schools, Knockadea, Ballylanders, Co. Limerick, Coshlea.
