    In my young days the people ate only three meals a day i.e breakfast, dinner, and supper.

    used call around to the neighbouring houses every day to see how they were doing. One day he called into a certain house in which the people were very tidy indeed. They were all seated around the table and the men and women had pieces of tape from the tablecloth attached to their jackets so that no piece of food could possibly fall to the floor.
    The Dr. came to the door and said in a very excitable manner,
    "The grey cow is in the dyke."
    They all jumped up immediately taking the table cloth with them and throwing the potatoes and milk all over the floor. Of course when they went out they found the cow eating away for herself in in the field and when they looked around for the doctor he had disappeared.
    The neighbours around had a great laugh at the joke Dr. Bourke had on "the tidy people".
