(continued from previous page)his mind. He had often heard old people say that a ghost cannot cross water so he determined to escape by means of a river which was flowing through the bog. He ran to the river as fast as his legs could carry him but the ghost seemed to move just as fast. However he managed to keep in front of ghost until he reached the river and when he jumped it the ghost vanished- Collector
