    When a certain man in the district of Pallasgreen was baptised the priest who baptised him told his sponsers that he'd never see a ghost or anything unearthly during his life.

    his mind. He had often heard old people say that a ghost cannot cross water so he determined to escape by means of a river which was flowing through the bog. He ran to the river as fast as his legs could carry him but the ghost seemed to move just as fast. However he managed to keep in front of ghost until he reached the river and when he jumped it the ghost vanished
