- There is a holy well in Emly churchyard dedicated to St. Ailbe. St Ailbe is the patron Saint of Emly and the people around this district are very devout to him. The ''patron'' day of this well is September 12th and people come in great crowds to give their rounds and pray to St Ailbe.
