  1. Mick Casssidy's cow was gaunt, bony & tall
Her horns were long, sharp, and slender,
The rings on the same, and the summer she saw
I'll not mention in case I'd offend her
She was gentle and kind, resigned to her fat
And the Creamery Manager swore -
That for rich milk and butter there wasn't the 'bate'
Of Mick Cassidy's cow from Kilmore.
But the cow got depressed when the rent was unpaid
And in sadness would over her steal
As she thought of the Bill passed above in the Dail
To turn her old bones into meal
No wonder the green grass looked blue in her eyes
When butchers and bailiffs were after the hick
Of Mick Cassidy's cow from Kilmore.
