It was either in his time or in Fr. Clery's time that a great mission came to this parish. Before the mission closed he gathered all the rival factions from far and near and when he had them all together in Mr. Blackwell's field opposite the Cappamore Catholic Church he ordered them all to kneel down and pledge their word to him that they would forget their differences and live in peace. There was an end to the faction fights in this part of the county since then.- Informant
