    Situated in
    1 District of Corcamont
    2 Parish of Patricksweel

    Local tradition regarding it: -
    1. A witch named Grána inhabited Carrig OGunnel Castle
She lit candles in rock. Any son seeing the candles died. Warmer named Regan put on a magic cap, and ascended the rock. He was in the act of putting out one of the candles when the witch saw him. She hurled a piece of the rock at him. She missed him, and the rock fell in the particular field noted above. The rock bears the imprint of a hand. Local tradition regards the imprint as being that of the witches.
