    Long after, Monks built an Abbey,
    Close by the Lubagh stream.
    And whenever we gaze on that structure,
    Of its tragic end we must dream.
    It has castles, old gates and and Abbey.
    In days now long past it was walled.
    and because of these ancient ruins,
    The balbec of Ireland tis called.
    But it's not by these things I remember.
    This town by the English once ruled.
    But because in that ancient old village.
    I was mother and fostered and schooled.
