    In a Monastery Garden (continued)
It is said that in the haste and confusion treasure in the nature of jewelled chalices and gold ect, were deposited in this tunnel for safety.
Of the many loyal people who have dealings with spirit or spirits not one of them will be found that they ever sought after the hidden riches and this is explained by the fact that loyal tradition has it that the spirit of Bishop of by gone times still guards the tunnel entrance an keep it hidden from prying eyes.
So stands Kilmallock Abbey to day a proud memory to him who have gone a significant reminder to those to come. That is the reason why the story is legendary but described as a historical legend.
