    attended to. This done he set off for the palace where a great feast was being prepared for his fellow companion. He went before the king and said it was he who killed the dragon.
    The king said he would prove that it was not he that killed him. The head of the creature was brought before them and it was found on examination that the tongue was missing.
    The the real killer took the tongue from his pocket and fitted it in its place. The king then ordered that the feast should be given to him and that he should be given his reward. he also ordered that his fellow companion should be cast into prison.
