- Hidden Treasure
I have heard of a treasure supposed to have been hidden in Knockeravoola in the parish of Upperchurch, Co. Tipperary.
This field belongs to a man named Tom Ryan. The Danes placed it there when they came to plunder Ireland. Attempts wee made to find it in the year 1917. several old people came there to look for it but they did not succeed. John Ryan Kilcommon was digging potatoes near this place and a small man like a Leipreachán appeared to him and told him not to dig this spot which is known as Leaba. It consists of gold and silver buried in the urns.- Bailitheoir
