    Come all you true born Irish men, I ¶ hope you will lend an ear ¶ And listen to those mournful lines ¶ I have just penned down here

    Until they came to the Mc-Cormack's house
    Where those two young men lay in bed,
    They accused those boys of murder
    from the information they had got,
    From a coachman that was driving
    at the time that Ellis got shot,
    They said that they were innocent,
    but 'twas all of no avail,
    They were handcuffed and made
    prisoners of, and conveyed to Nenagh jail.
    At the Springy Assizes as those two
    young men stood their trial in
    Nenagh town,
    And by a packed jury of Orange-men
    they were guitly found,
    The judge addressed those prisoners
    and asked them what they had to say,
    Before he would sign their execution
    for the eleventh of May,
    'Twas in Killahara we were reared
    Between Thurles and Templemore,
    We were known by all the inhabitants
    round the parish of Loughmore,
