Ar an leathanach seo
- I live in the townsland of Cooleen, and in the parish of Kilmore, in the Barony of Upper Ormond. Cooleen, which means a little ridge, got its name because it is a high ridge of land, its area is about one hundred and sixty acres of land, and its population is twenty nine people.
Cooleen belonged to Lord Dunally one time, and in the year 1915 it was divided, and there was only one house in it up to that, there were four other houses built then, all these houses are slated, and the most common names are the O'Kennedys. There was a grave yeard there one time, but the grave yeard is not to be seen now. In Mr. Kennedy's land, there is a lare wood, and in one of his fields, there is a fort, and in Mr. Collins land there is a giants grave. The land is good and fertile, and suitable for growing, the chief industry is agriculture.- Bailitheoir
