    milked one evening as he was passing by an old fort or lios on his lands heard a child crying and immediately a woman's voice in a soothing manner saying: "Whisht now, alaneen. The cows are going in and I'll soon have the milk for you".
    The farmer, as the cows were about being milked, warned the milkers to be careful not to spill a drop of it that evening, and they managed to avoid doing so, but as one of them was taking his pail to the dairy he stumbled and fell, spilling his pail full, which, of course, went to the people in the lios.
