The making of old roads consisted of putting out plenty of broken stones and rough gravel they were only kept like by roads which were very much like boreens at the present time the main roads are much more up-to-date made with fine gravel and covered with tar and grit nice roads for motors buses and lorries the ugly bends, are removed to be replaced by a nice view.
The road from Doon to Cappamore is a very new road because it is very straight.
