“The old houses has mud walls and mud floors.”
The old houses had mud walls, and mud floors.
There were thatched roofs on them and the thatch was got from wheat which the farmers used sow.
The chimneys were made of mud and sticks, but in the houses of the poorer people there were no chimney but a hole in the roof.
The bed used be in the kitchen near the fire.
There used be only one bedroom and a kitchen in the small houses.
