    The foregoing poem was written by
    the late J.J. Finnan "Myles" after
    his return from America 1911, and
    it is appropriate now in view of
    the recent acquisition of the lands of
    Barnane by the Irish Land Commision.
    This poem appeared in the issue
    June 12th 1937 of the Tipperary Star.
    It is not included in the selected
    poems of "The Spirit of Tipperary".
