  1. Old Crafts
    In this parish there were many local industries. There was spinning and weaving nearly in every house.
    In my grandmother's time they used to spin all the wool in to thread which used to be sent to Tom Leahy the weaver who lived in a small house in Shanakill, Couraganeen, Roscrea, and used to weave for all the people in the locality. Tom's house was a meeting place
