  1. There are many old ruins in our district but the following are the most important ones.
    About a hundred yards from the main Roscrea Templemore road there is a ruin of an old church called Kiltillaha. This church was built by St. Tiallatha in the early christian period. It was one of the old types of churches built by stone without mortar. The roof was also made of stone. According to tradition a great number of the stones
