    The haughty Dane to chide
    His glorious war-cry thrilled along
    The Washbrooke river side
    Then we'll drink a health
    Respect and wealth
    To all who tread this glen
    The loyal few
    Tried and true
    Bright-hearted daring [?] men
    And to our brave Irish exiles
    Who are gone beyond the tide
    They are thinking still
    Of old Kill Hill
    And the Washbrooke river side.
