    journey and always distinguished himself in the game a wonderful tribute to his endurance. When the game was over he retraced his steps, and appeared at his home in due time to discharge his many duties on his fathers farm.
    He lived on the plainest of food, and never smoked or drank. He was a silent man and never boasted of his feats except to some near friend. He was well known to the man who told this story, and the affection of both for each other was more than that of a passing kind.
