It is said that the monks kept fish there to supply their needs. There was also a church in Sean-a-Cill and another in John Coady's land where there is a Holy well called Tobar na heen. In Drangan there is a ruin of an old church and it is said that Cromwell knocked the church on his way to Fethard.
