Before the use of instruments for forecasting the weather came in being the people had to judge by the sky. The following by which they judged the weather are. If the sun look cloudy it is the sign of rain or if it sets in a red sky it is a sign of fine weather. While if it sets in a grey sky it is a sign of rain.
If there is a hole around the moon it is a sign of rain. If there is an eclipse on the moon it is a sign of fine weather.
If there are stars shooting towards the north it is a sign of frost.
Dark clouds foretells the sign of rain.
