   The following prayer was given by Eileen Cahill who got it from her father David Cahill (R.I.P.). It is said by people when their nose begins to bleed. "Little Infant Jesus, Baptized in the river Jordan. The river stood and so will my blood". An old prayer given by my grandmother to me was to make the letters I.N.R.I. on your forehead and say "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. Keep us from a sudden and unprovided death this night". This prayer was said on lying down in bed at night.
