    the time the Butlers were in occupation of Kilcash Castle. This road is over grown with grass now.
    The New Road was made about ninety years ago. There is a ford in Anner and tradition tells us that a man with a car and churns was swept away when crossing it.
    There are but two mass paths in the district. One of these mass paths leads from Kilcash to Brittas. The other leads in a Westerly direction from Kilcash to Ballyknockane.
