  1. Croker was a man who lived in a place called Ballyboy. He was one of Cromwell's officers. He would think of hanging a person. One day an old woman complained her son to him and he said "Bring him down here to me and I will tame him". Next day she took him down and he hanged him on a tree in his own field. The ruins of the castle can be seen to this day.
