- (continued from previous page)we will kill who ever is there. They kept digging away, and at last they reached a big stairs, Now the question was who would go first. After long arguing the biggest boy went first. Down they went, and after a long time they came to a door. In they went, and they were delighted to see the room full up with gold. they filled up all the bags they had, and were just about to leave, when a man rushed in, and caught one of them by the shoulder, and said who gave you permission to take that gold.The rest of the boys attacked him, and sent him to the floor. They then went out the door, and they heard more wicked crying of "put back the gold or ye will be made to put it back." The men ran as fast as they could but before they were up to the top of the hill again they were attacked by wild cats, and were made drop the gold. But the boys were not yet finished. They hid behind a bush because the five bags of gold were still lying near the hole which they had dug. Two hours passed, and(continues on next page)
