  1. "The Building Well"
About the year 1409 or so the Building well was said to be near the river around Ballycarron Bridge. This is how it came to be now situated under the Building.
A man who had evil power one day went to the well in Ballycarron and said words over it so that it would disappear. About a month after the man had said his evil words on the well it disappeared. It must have made its way to the "Building" under the ground, because it was missed from Ballycarron for four months, when it sprung up under the "Building." That is why it is called the "Building Well."
