- (continued from previous page)pudding is treacle, beef-suet lemon-peel currants raisins. The raisins are stoned and all is mixed together with flour and bread-crumbs and boiled in a little bag. It is hung out of the ceiling with holly on the top of it till Christmas Day. There are stout and lemonade drunk also. A Christmas candle is lit in honour of Jesus Christ.
