    stone in the leather and twirl it round then release the cord without any loop and the stone goes of a great distance.
    There are several kinds of whistles. One can be made by getting a straw. Pick out a point where there is a joint and where the straw is not battered. Make a slit in it near the joint. Put the straw in your mouth covering the slit and the joint and blow and you have a whistle. Another one, is, get a thread spool and put a piece of light rubber across one end covering the hole then blow in the other end and you have a very fine whistle made.
