  2. One May morning a man who lived near Ballagh, Co. Tipperary was watching his garden and he saw a hare in it running up a-long a drill. The hare was running so slowly that a man could keep up with him.
    When the hare saw the man he turned back and ran in the opposite direction. The man followed him out on to the road. When the hare touched the road he turned into a woman whom the man knew. The woman begged the man for mercy and assured him
