  1. (continued from previous page)
    To a lass from Cappamore
This match was made some time ago
    Twas easy to complete
He met her in the farmstead
    Where she was crowning beet
Her name it is Miss Kirby
And so we are told of late
She had £100 and could no longer wait
    One evening of a coursing
He sayed here for a while
    And Doherty was cerlian
He was waiting for a trial
corkscew is a shrewed old boy
For a fortune he did seek
    Although he dropped a £100
    and almost in a week
    He seached the country everywhere
From the Shannon to the Suir
    Until he found this lassie
    At the bridge of Kilwra
He was nervous and highly strung
But he wore a pleasing countenance
His false teeth made him young
The honeymoon was spent in Tipp
The truth to you I'll tell
    It was not at Dobbins
    But at Enrights in Churchwells
